LE freak, c’est chic – the 70s are back with a vengeance for AW17 with designers making us dance to the tune of the disco era.

Sparkly boots, head-to-toe sequin dresses, vibrant metallics and tonnes of ruffles were seen everywhere from Saint Laurent and Gucci to Michael Kors and Pucci.

Thankfully, top budget high street store Penneys got the memo and their gorgeous new Winter ’17 collection is making us want to hit the dance floor hard and party all night.

Not for wallflowers, the Studio 54-inspired range is embracing all things that glitter and shine. Think Balmain on a budget with sexy sequin mini dresses, thigh skimming boots, metallic blazers and jaquard co-ords. One of the highlights from the collection is the silver trouser suit which is perfect for sophisticated office Christmas parties while the metallic electric blue party dress means business. Super shoes in the form of hot high heels are also coming out tops in the new collection with bow, perplex and silver boots, a steal at just €17, a serious must-buy for the new season. A tinsel jumpers and a gold wrap mini dress are also a reminder that the festive season is just around the corner.
