Petrol bomb attack on car

A PRISON officer’s car was petrol bombed at his home yesterday.

The vehicle was badly damaged but no one was injured in the incident in Blarney on the outskirts of Cork city at around 1am.

The force of the flames forced the occupants of the house to flee and the property suffered extensive scorch damage.

Two youths wearing hoodies were reportedly seen running from the scene and gardai are appealing for witnesses.
