Howe felt the strain
EDDIE HOWE insists Bournemouth’s victory over Brighton won’t paper over any cracks.
The Cherries were pointless after four matches, just like Crystal Palace, who sacked boss Frank de Boer on the back of their miserable start.
Howe’s men finally got their season up and running on Friday when Andrew Surman cancelled out Solly March’s opener and Jermain Defoe bagged the winner.
“This result might be welcome but not for a moment do I think everything’s fixed and settled,” said Howe. “I’m my own biggest critic.
“I have felt extra pressure, and it’s huge that we’re not on nil points any more.”
