President’s daughter in selfie shame
THE daughter of Azerbaijan’s president has been slammed after she posed for ridiculous selfies while her father made a UN speech about genocide.
Pointing a phone at herself, Leyla Aliyeva’s antics were live-streamed around the world from the UN General Assembly.
At first the 33-year-old is seen listening intently as she sits beside her 53-yearold mother Mehriban in the New York hall.
President Ilham Aliyev, 55, was speaking to world leaders about the bloody Nagorno-karabakh War of 1992 when his daughter was spotted striking bizarre poses.
Her behaviour did not go unnoticed as she was mocked by social media users following the speech.
