Warning over bonfires after car park blaze

A WARNING has been issued ahead of Halloween as stockpiling for bonfires gets under way.

On Friday night Dublin Fire Brigade responded to a blaze in an underground car park which forced residents in a housing block to evacuate their homes.

Dublin Fire Brigade warned of the dangers of building up combustible materials ahead of the October event.

They tweeted: “Overnight Balbriggan and Swords fought a fire in an underground car park.

”A commercial bin and waste fire spread smoke and residents nearby were evacuated.”
