GOVERNMENT

-

Vivien was in the industry for decades Vivien in her younger days ran my business not only did guys come in for sexual favours it was also a club, they’d sit around the bar and listen to the music.

“The Irish heard about me and my business because it was so well-known, certainly I was one of the best madams to visit in the country.”

Giving insight into her clientele over the years, she said: “The guy that’s a virgin who’s about to go into a relationship who’d like a bit of experience, disabled people would come in or with their wives because they couldn’t cope with the situation themselves.”

The veteran hostess turned author insists the Irish Sex Act will just make matters worse for prostitutes and says instead the industry should be cleaned up.

She added: “The Irish Government are going backward in time, it’s a step back.

“It’s an unbelievable law, it’s not going to stop anything, a guy wakes up with those needs or craving he’s going to seek it out and this law is going to make things worse.

“The guys could end up picking on an innocent girl or woman on the street who’s not there to do business and using them for his own use or worse still it could lead to rape.

“I mean look at all the sexual exploitation that’s going on at the moment, innocent girls that are being led into the industry, it’s like a slavery issue now. This is going on and the whole thing has got to be cleaned up.

“That law in Ireland will do no good whatsoever. I guess it would appeal to a lot of feminist women, but they don’t really see the wood from the trees of what’s going on.” Vivien’s book news@irishmirror.ie
