Sampson will cost FA £80k
MARK SAMPSON will get a pay-off of around £80,000 from the FA after he was dismissed as England’s women’s team manager.
But if the 34-year-old (above) decides to launch an unfair dismissal claim and wins, he could get closer to £160,000.
Sampson’s contract was ended last week after FA chief executive Martin Glenn acted on a 2015 report about Sampson’s time at Bristol Academy.
In it were details of an ‘inappropriate relationship’ and, while there was no suggestion of illegality, Glenn felt the FA had to let Sampson go.
Sampson and the FA have been under a cloud since ex-england player Eni Aluko alleged Sampson made racist remarks to her and player Drew Spence.
