Dons face insult rap

AFC WIMBLEDON could face disciplinary action for failing to call rivals MK Dons by their full name for the second year in a row.

Friday’s programme for the Kingsmeadow clash between the clubs did not reference the home side’s rivals either on the cover or inside. The home club’s Twitter feed referred to the visitors as ‘Milton Keynes’ in match coverage.

The EFL had asked AFC Wimbledon to ensure there would be no repeat of last season’s ‘insult’, but appear to have been ignored.
