Varadkar a ‘tosser’, says star

- BY BRYNMOR PATTISON

LEO Varadkar was called a “tosser” by musician Al Doyle on Twitter yesterday.

The Taoiseach went backstage after an LCD Soundsystem Dublin gig this week, said Doyle, but “walked away” after seeing him with a ‘Repeal’ tote bag.

Doyle tweeted: “Irish PM Leo Varadkar came backstage. Wore a “repeal” tote bag around my neck in front of him; he walked away. Tosser.”

Doyle, who is also in dance pop band Hot Chip, made his thoughts on the abortion debate clear in a series of tweets.

He later stated: “Ok just got back to this after a very, very late night in Dublin. A *very* late night. Anyway, I realise some apologies are in order...”

He added: “I just think that women’s bodies are their own, and it’s weird that anyone feels they can’t just say that for any reason.

“Also it’s totally just my opinion that Leo Varadkar is a tosser. He just seemed like a bit of a tosser.”
