US conductor dies before Irish concert
NCH show RENOWNED American conductor David Heusel tragically passed away in Dublin yesterday.
Mr Heusel was in the capital to conduct the RTE Concert Orchestra at the National Concert Hall tonight.
A spokeswoman for the NCH said: “It is with the deepest regret that we announce American conductor David Heusel, who was due to conduct the RTE Concert Orchestra tonight at the NCH, has passed away.
“The concert has been cancelled as a mark of respect. RIP.”
It is unknown how Mr Heusel passed away.
The music veteran was born in America but began his career working in Germany.
