TV Xmas backlash

SKY SPORTS and the Premier League face a further backlash from fans after it emerged that TWO fixtures could now be switched to Christmas Eve.

Liverpool supporters have already reacted furiously to the news that the Reds’ trip to Arsenal could kick-off at 4pm on December 24.

The Spirit of Shankly group has condemned it, saying it shows “zero regard” for supporters.

But they might not be the only set of away fans facing an arduous trip as the broadcaster looks to fill a lunchtime slot.

If Sky Sports picks Huddersfield’s clash at Southampton, Newcastle’s visit to West Ham or Tottenham’s game at Burnley then travelling fans will also face a mammoth trek.
