ARSENAL REBORN

- BY NEIL MCLEMAN

ARSENE WENGER has blamed a chaotic transfer window for their disastrous 4-0 loss at Liverpool in August – and claimed the Gunners are now a “different team”.

Deadline day saw the collapse of the sale of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City after the failure to buy Monaco’s Thomas Lemar for £90million. Arsenal have since gone six games unbeaten.

Wenger said: “It was a very difficult period. We worked very hard on transfers but they were not easy decisions to make. But it feels like a different team now.”
