Liam Gallagher As You Were It’s taken 45 years for the Gallaghers’ brashest brother to record a solo album – but it’s worth the wait. Not forgetting his Oasis roots, As You Were is the rocker at his very best. Who needs Noel when you can deliver a string of belting tracks including acoustic Chinatown – a catchy, uplifting poem to the capital – as well as For What It’s Worth and Paper Crown, which double up as fantastic ballads. Bring on album number two. ★★★★★
