Rocker in €20,000 auction bid for VIP ‘ringside seat’ at Mass
Rod, an avid supporter of Scottish club Celtic, made the winning bid at an auction for a “very rare” chance to spend time with the Pontiff. And the 72-year-old said he now “can’t wait” to attend a Papal Mass as a special guest. Rod, said to worth around €200million, snapped up the Celtic fan Rod chance to meet the Pope at an auction in aid of Pinktober with Hard Rock Heals, the annual breast cancer drive.
The blurb for the lot at the London sale said the winner “will be situated in the VIP area reserved for hand-picked guests” and would also receive “an incredibly rare and handwritten IS this really the body of a 59-year-old? Corset is – it’s the ever-young Madonna.
