School staff vote to strike

SPECIAL Needs assistants have voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action over the delayed publication of SNA allocations for the next school year.

The delay in their publication means the school assistsants do not know if they have a job next September, but are unable to apply for redeployment in case they do not.

A landslide majority of 97% IMPACT union members voted for industrial action.
