New plea for ANC to unite

SOUTH Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) needs to put an end to scandals that are tarnishing its image, a top party official has said.

Zweli Mkhize, an ANC official spoke after a court ruling paved the way for President Jacob Zuma to face nearly 800 counts of corruption.

He also called for an end to factionalism within the party at a public lecture on Friday in Kagiso township in Johannesburg.
