Harry Potter train’s wizard family rescue

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

A FAMILY stranded in the Highlands were rescued by the Hogwarts Express steam train.

Jon and Helen Cluett and their four children, aged six to 12, had been staying at a remote shelter in Lochaber.

But the canoe they used to reach it across a loch was swept away so they faced a long trek over bogs to get back to their car.

They phoned police who arranged for The Jacobite, which was used in the Harry Potter movies, to make an extra stop on the nearby West Highland Railway Line.

Jon said: “I phoned the police to ask if they could help us. The next train passing was The Jacobite – the Hogwarts Express steam train that goes up and down that line.”
