Frankenstein pumpkintobe a monster hit

- BY STEPHEN HAYWARD

A SUPERMARKET expects a mighty clamour for pumpkins shaped like Frankenstein’s monster.

They have been grown in Frankenstein face moulds for four months and will be unmasked in good time for Halloween.

They are being formed at a farm in Lincolnshire and will be sold for £15 at Morrisons in Barnsley, Gloucester, Dundee, Edinburgh and Stevenston, in North Ayrshire.

Money raised will go to children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Morrisons will have 20 varieties of pumpkin, including “gnarled spooky” and “white ghosts”, which are popular in America.

“We hope customers don’t lose their heads over them,” joked the store’s Michael Weightman.
