Mountain to climb for charity

- BY JOHN PATRICK KIERANS

THE emergency services braved Storm Brian to scale the equivalent height of Everest in Dublin yesterday.

The Frontline Mo Bros, which is made up of fire, rescue, Coast Guard, blood bikes, and military workers, completed the challenge on a Dublin Fire Brigade ladder to raise money for Movember.

They climbed 8,848 metres – the same height as the world’s heighest peak in the Himalayas.

Leading the 2017 charge was team captain Jonathan Forbes from the Dublin Fire Brigade.

Last year the Frontline Mo Bros raised more than €22,000 for Movember, a number they hope to improve on by getting an early start in October this year.
