Thong-wearer Stringfellow, 77, tops list for a bum-ble in jungle

The nightclub impresario is said to have turned down €350,000 to scoff insects on the ITV reality show – because he’s holding out for half a million. Stringy, 77, tops the dream guest list of the show’s hosts Ant Mcpartlin and Declan Donnelly. The reason, Dec says, is “because he wears leopard skin thongs in everyday life”. Tory Party donor Stringfellow – estimated to have personal fortune of around €45million – has top showbiz connections. A source said: “ITV are Stringfellow desperate to get Peter on board but he drives a hard bargain.

“They’re seeing if they can get him to come on board for €350k. This year is proving expensive.”

But Ant and Dec will want to push the boat out to see Stringy do a bushtucker trial in his thong, Down Under.

In 2009, they said: “Towards the end of a series we go out for beers and write our wish list on a beer mat. We often can’t read it in the morning, but Christopher Biggins was one of our suggestions, so was Jimmy White.

“We’ve got a new wish list already, Sally Morgan star Grigor Dimitrov psychic, Mr T, Gary Coleman. The name that tops it every year though is Peter Stringfellow and we think we’re very close to getting him.”

Stringfellow is famed for his libido – he became a dad for the fourth time at 75. Last week he appeared on Good Morning Britain and admitted he’d had sex the night before.

Speaking of third wife Bella, Stringfellow said: “I have a wife that’s delicious and gorgeous and that I adore. You’re looking at the happiest man in the world.” Richard Madeley, 61, told him on GMB: “We’ll have to give you a vasectomy, young man!” Peter has a two-year-old and a four-year-old with Bella, 34. He also has two grown-up kids. The half-italian met Stringfellow at his London nightclub and, after they wed in 2009, she gave birth to their daughter Rosabella and son Angelo. Other stars rumoured for this year’s show, set in Australia, include ex-england football boss Sam Allardyce and former Strictly star Kristina Rihanoff. halina.watts@mirror.co.uk Peter
