Tragic George beats Pink & Horan to No1
GEORGE Michael has posthumously topped the UK album charts with a re-release of Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1.
It was the second solo record of the singer, who died on Christmas Day last year aged 53.
The album is back on top 27 years after its first outing after it was reissued alongside a new documentary about the Wham! star’s rise to fame.
It received 56,000 physical, digital and streaming equivalent sales – more than 30,000 ahead of Pink’s Beautiful Trauma and Niall Horan’s debut Flicker.
His former manager and childhood friend David Austin said: “We are all so incredibly proud to have the number one album in the UK.”
