Threat from North Korea ‘on the rise’
Kim Jong-un THE threat of nuclear attack from North Korea is increasing, it’s been warned.
US Defence Secretary James Mattis warned Kim Jong-un’s regime would face a “massive military response” if it used the deadly weapons.
Separately, North Korea released a South Korean fishing boat which it said had been found in its waters illegally.
It comes at a time of heightened tension in the region, with both sides running a series of military exercises.
Mr Mattis added: “North Korea has accelerated the threat that it poses to its neighbours and the world through its illegal missile and nuclear weapons programmes.”
