First charges filed in US & Russia probe
THE first charges have been filed in the probe into alleged Russia interference in last year’s US election, it has been reported.
It was not clear what the charges were and who they targeted.
CNN said anyone facing claims could be taken into custody tomorrow.
US intelligence agencies said earlier this year the Russian government sought to help Donald Trump win the race to the White House.
The document added Moscow led a campaign to “denigrate” his Democrat opponent Hillary Clinton by hacking into email accounts and paying social media “trolls” to make nasty comments.
