I ALWAYS KNEW I’D RETURN

Kenny shows Pedro what real leadership looks like

- BY GAVIN MCCAFFERTY

KENNY MILLER says he always believed he would be back in the Rangers team after inspiring a 3-1 victory over Hearts.

With Lee Wallace still injured, caretaker boss Graeme Murty (left) handed Miller the captain’s armband two days after Pedro Caixinha’s sacking sparked the end of his firstteam exile.

Miller said: “It’s been a tough month but I just tried to stay strong through it and go into work every day and be the best you can be and help the team-mates as much as you can. PREMIERSHIP TABLE

“I just tried to stay as professional as I can. I enjoyed coming into work every single day. That never changed. It was just disappointing not to get a game at the end of the week.

“I always had the belief that I would be back in a Rangers jersey.”
