ARSENAL accused Neil Ruddock of racism after he said Frenchman Patrick Vieira ”smelled of garlic” in a television interview.

It followed a spitting feud between the two in a bitter West Ham v Arsenal match which saw Vieira hit by a then record £45,000 fine and a six-match ban.

Meanwhile, David Ginola was called a cheat after winning a late penalty for Spurs against Kaiserlaut­ern in the UEFA Cup.
