KATIE Taylor became a world champion last night with a stunning display of power in Cardiff’s Principali­ty Stadium.

The 31-year-old, from Bray, Co Wicklow, beat Anahi Sanchez by a unanimous decision to win the WBA lightweigh­t belt.

The delighted fighter said afterwards: “It means more than words can express, this is a dream come true.”
