Poles in ‘biggest’ far-right march

FASCISTS and extreme nationalists gathered in Warsaw yesterday under the banner We Want God.

Organisers described the Independence March, estimated to have attracted 60,000 people, as the biggest “patriotic” parade of its kind in Europe.

The annual rally, which coincided with Poland’s independence day, is seen as demonstrating the deepening divisions in the Eastern European country.
