Woman dies in car smash
A WOMAN has died and a man is in a serious condition in hospital following a two-car crash yesterday.
The incident happened at around 12.30pm on the R555 at Foildarrig near Duagh in Co Kerry.
A 67-year-old female passenger was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry but later pronounced dead. The driver, a man in his 50s, was also taken to hospital.
A man and woman in the second car, both aged 20, are in stable condition.
