Penneys beat the winter blues with a sneak peek at next year
BEAT the winter blues with our sneak peek into what we’ll be wearing next year. It’s only November but fashion fans are already eyeing up their purchases from the new spring summer 2018 collections.
Top Irish retail store Penneys has unveiled its new SS18 range and will start rolling a variety of stylish and budget-friendly pieces from next month until April.
The hero piece of the collection is the gorgeous Celineinspired tobacco trench coat, a steal at just €30.
Other key items include the range of pretty holiday dresses from just €16 and relaxed denims in summer whites.
There’s also on-trend check print coats, 1970s cut jeans with tassels, and 1990s vibe T-shirts and denim jackets. One area in which Penneys has excelled of late is the show department, we’re lusting over the pink fluffy sliders, bejewelled sandals and kitten heels.
Fans of Chloe will love the new handbag range, which takes inspiration from the French fashion house for next spring/summer.
Commenting on the new collection this week, a spokeswoman for Penneys told me: “We’re turning up the dial on feelgood fashion for the new season.
“We have taken inspiration from the catwalk’s sense of optimism and diversity.”
She added: “A sense of sartorial buoyancy booms and the late-80s are back with a bang. There are copious escapism trends from feminine power dressing to slick Wild West styles, ensuring an exciting season ahead.”
