KEEPING Up Appearances star Patricia Routledge is giving tickets for her show to nurses who helped her.

The 88-year-old, who played Hyacinth Bucket, had to ditch a one-woman show after hurting herself in a fall in Derbyshire.

She is returning on Friday to talk about her career and decided on the giveaway. Dame Patricia said: “The show will be a very special memory. I cannot praise the services of the NHS too highly. .”

Tickets are being given to A&E nurses at hospitals in Buxton and Stepping Hill, near Manchester, where she was treated.

Nurse chief Alison Lynch said: “We’re delighted.”
