Family travel to France in search for 21-yr-old teacher

A MISSING Irish woman’s family has travelled to France in a desperate bid to find her.

Teacher Eimear Noonan, 21, from Co Clare, left her home near Lyon on Wednesday without her purse or ID and hasn’t been seen since.

Her cousin Rosie Keehan said: “She did not show up for work

on Thursday and Friday and made no indication that she would be absent.

“She left her apartment, possibly for exercise, and did not return.”

Eimear, who works at ecole elementair­e publique Font Chevalier, is described as 5ft 9ins, of average build with blue eyes and brown hair.

A post from her brother was shared 10,000 times in 12 hours on Facebook.

He added: “My younger sister Eimear has gone missing in Annonay, France, half an hour outside Lyon. Last seen Wednesday afternoon.

“Please share here and if you have any contacts in the south of France please share to them.”

The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance.

Meanwhile, a concerned daughter has issued an appeal after her mother went missing in Dublin.

Sinead Pugh, 44, was last seen in Daletree View, Ballyculle­n, on Thursday morning leaving for work but never arrived.

Daughter Orlagh said: “She is a wife and mother to four daughters. She is driving a blue Ssangyong Kyron 07-KK-460.

“Her family are in deep distress and really hope she comes home safe and well soon. If anyone has any informatio­n please call us on 0857072632 or 0857419265.”
