Rams’ Gurley riser

TODD GURLEY’S leadership skills have helped lift the Los Angeles Rams out of their dark days.

The Rams have not been in the playoffs in 14 years, but as they travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings tonight (Sky Sports Action, 5.35pm) they are 7-2 already.

Running back Gurley (avove), a team captain, said: “I communicate, talk to everybody, see how everybody’s doing.

“When you’re with those guys every day, you have to be a good team-mate, a good person. It’s how I was raised.”
