Pep poser after blow to Stones
PEP GUARDIOLA faces the first test to his all-conquering side with John Stones out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
The rampant Premier League leaders racked up their 16th successive win in all competitions by beating Leicester at the King Power with sensational goals either side of half-time from Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne to maintain their grip on the title race.
City are unbeaten in 18 games in all competitions this season.
But after losing defender Stones (above) , Guardiola said he will now have to rotate his squad.
He said: “The calendar is so, so hard and we are at a stage where I will have to make more changes.”
Leicester boss Claude Puel said: “City are the best team in Europe at the moment – and the world.”
But Puel was angry referee Graham Scott failed to send off City skipper Vincent Kompany for hacking down Jamie Vardy when the striker had a clear run on goal early on.
Puel said: “Kompany deserved a red card and that would have changed the face of the game.”
