Gleeson and Barry ‘steal the limelight’
Keoghan in film IRISH stars Barry Keoghan and Domhnall Gleeson have been named among the greatest movie scenestealers of the year.
The Dubliners were hailed for their brilliant performances in the films Killing Of A Sacred Deer and Mother! respectively.
They were not the main stars in the movies but American magazine Vanity Fair said their portrayals of disturbing young men set them apart from thousands of other actors.
It added: “You don’t have to be the star of the show to win a movie.
“A true scene-stealer gets at the heart of what talented actors do best: step into the spotlight and shine, no matter how small the role – and this year was full of scene-stealers.”
