Aussie crash man in court

THE Afghan man accused of driving into pedestrians in Melbourne was in court yesterday to face 18 counts of attempted murder.

Former refugee Saeed Noori, 32, put his head in his hands as his mother cried in the public gallery.

He was then remanded in custody pending a psychiatric report.

Australian police do not believe Thursday’s attack was terrorism related. Twelve of his victims were still in hospital last night.
