I’m getting skates on for my wedding

Bake Off Candice gives brush-off to Paul ‘snog’

Candice, 33, has revealed she hopes to wed fiance Liam Macaulay next September.

And she said the rigorous regime demanded of the skating show, which returns to ITV in January, is perfect for getting in shape.

Candice – who was snapped kissing Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood last month – said: “I spend most of the time on the ice freezing my butt off.

“I hope it will get my body ready for the wedding, that will be quite nice. I don’t really enjoy the gym.”

However she fears the intense rehearsals are making her boobs vanish. The qualified teacher, who won the GBBO final in 2016, admitted: “I’m not sure that I can even call them buns – they are more like cherry Bakewells.

“The outfits are pretty teeny. I’m like, ‘OK, I’m naked and if the wind blows you can see my bottom’. But it’s fine, it’s covered in glitter.”

Candice said Liam doesn’t mind her getting close to her skating partner Matt Evers, even though – like Strictly – the show has a “curse” blamed for a string of celebrity break-ups. She said of being

held and lifted by Matt: “If he has to grab certain parts it happens – then we laugh.”

Candice was back in the spotlight after sharing a smooch with baking guru Paul at a glitzy bash. Days later he split from his wife Alexandra.

Dismissing the attention she got as a result as part of the “highs and lows”, Candice told how she was throwing herself into her wedding.

She said: “My best mate and my maid of honour have planned my hen do. And I’ve got 11 friends in the other Bake Off bakers so maybe we’ll have an 11-tier cake.” Dancing on Ice was launched at the Natural History Museum Ice Rink.

He’s close friends with fellow Street star Jennie Mcalpine, 33, who plays Fiz Brown and who starred in the jungle this year.

And he reveals Jennie’s dad Tom – who died in March – once warned him against doing Dancing on Ice. It happened when he was weighing up whether to go on I’m a Celebrity.

Antony said: “Her dad told me, ‘you’ve got to go to Australia, fight or flight. Know your fear.

“It will be an amazing experience – but don’t do Dancing on Ice because it’s dangerous’. And it will be.

“I’m so glad Tom helped make my mind up to go on I’m a Celebrity.

“The jungle experience was a very personal one for me, as it was for Jennie. I’m sad Tom never got to see her go.”

Antony’s co-star Brooke Vincent, 25, will also appear on the ice alongside him.

He said: “We were both asked at the same time and here we are. We did text each other and thought we had underestimated it. But now we are over that. It’s full on but we both enjoy it.”
