Boy’s shock at Asda ‘lick my b***s’ toy aisle sign

- BY ROGER HARDY

‘unaware’ A HORRIFIED mum has slammed Asda after her seven-year-old son alerted her to a toys aisle poster saying “Lick my b**ls”.

Also emblazoned on the adult Rick and Morty cartoon sign was “Where are my testicles?”, “aww b***h” and “school is not a place for bright people”, with a diagram of a onefingered gesture.

The mum, who does not want to be named, said: “My son came to me and said, ‘There’s a poster with swearwords’. I was gobsmacked. It was at the end of the aisle with Batman and Pokémon.”

She complained to the manager at Parkway, Bristol, who took it down. “He wasn’t even aware it had been put up,” she said. “Maybe they are not aware in other stores.”

The mum, of Barnstaple, Devon, called Asda customer services who blamed another firm for the posters.

She was offered a €20 voucher as an apology, which she refused.

Asda said: “We’re sorry for any offence this poster caused and would like to reassure customers that it was removed from stores.”
