AGUERO fans’ hero brings up his ton at Etihad

list. And when Raheem Sterling marched on to Aguero’s flick to ram home his 16th goal of the season eight minutes into the second half, it became only a question of how many City would score.

Aguero took his tally for the season to 15 in the 79th minute when he rose to give substitute Silva’s brilliant cross the finish it deserved.

And substitute Danilo completed the rout five minutes from time with an assured sidefoot finish from Sterling’s pass.

It means City are the first topflight team to score 100 league goals in a calendar year since Liverpool in 1982.

Bournemouth never looked capable of adding to their miserable seasonal goal tally of 15. A seventh game without a win has taken them into the bottom three.

Howe said: “We’ve had an incredibly difficult run of fixtures, but we’re through that now and we’ve got to focus on the games coming up.

“Our gameplan was to stay in the game as long as we could and then maybe have a go at them later on.

“The first goal came from our mistake – which is disappointing – and then the second goal so soon after half-time was a killer.”
