Swans job a call away

SWANSEA chairman Huw Jenkins will present a shortlist of potential managers to the club’s American owners in a conference call today.

Jenkins will speak with Us-based Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien to offer a way forward after sacking Paul Clement.

Frank de Boer, axed by Crystal Palace following a disastrous 77-day reign in which the Eagles lost all five games, will feature along with recently sacked West Ham boss Slaven Bilic and ex-middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka.

Midfielder Leon Britton is expected to take charge of Swansea’s Boxing Day game at Liverpool, with Kaplan and Levien hoping to make a quick decision.
