Man killed in house blaze

AN elderly man has died after a house fire in Dublin on Friday night.

The 78-year-old lost his life in a house in Hibernian Avenue on the North Strand Road in the capital.

Gardai and emergency services responded to a call of a house fire shortly before 9pm.

Gardai do not believe the blaze was suspicious.
