Devices help to save heart attack victims

-

A COMMUNITY is prepared to save lives after seven new defibrillators were installed.

Up to 50 volunteers in Ballyfermot, West Dublin, have been trained on how to use the machines.

Padraig Allen and Michael Cardiff set out to make a difference with their Ballyfermot Lifesaving Project.

Padraig said: “It’s a big community with over 100 businesses and over 25,000 living between Ballyfermot and Chapelizod.

“Too many lives have been lost within our community, in many cases because nobody knew what to do.”
