Boxer Frank is pleased as punch to be grandfather
BOXER Frank Bruno is over the moon – as he’s going to be a grandad for the first time.
The ex-heavyweight world champ’s daughter Rachel, 30, is expecting.
He posted a scan of the tot and wrote: “What a wonderful Christmas present to find out my daughter and her husband Bobby will be welcoming their first baby in July.
“I’m over the moon to be Grandpa Frank.”
Six months ago, Frank, 56, walked personal trainer Rachel down the aisle at Brentwood Cathedral, Essex, to wed maintenance firm director Bobby Hardy.
And delighted fans were quick to congratulate the grandfather-to-be.
Commenting on the snap of the scan, one Facebook user wrote: “Best news to start a new year Frank, congratulations buddy.”
It’s been a stellar year for dad-of-four Frank, whose autobiography Let Me Be Frank – serialised in the Mirror – won praise.
In it he wrote of his battle with bipolar disorder and fears over being sectioned for the first time in 2003.
