Start 2018 on a roll with me says rock Phil

ROCK star Phil Collins is begging fans to play his biggest hit tomorrow night – so 2018 begins with his famous drum solo.

Phil, 66, told Twitter followers: “If you play In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins on December 31st at 11:56:40 the drum break will play as the clock strikes midnight. Start off your New Year right.”

The former Genesis drummer wrote the song in 1981 after splitting with first wife Andrea Bertorelli.

It sold millions and was Collins’ first solo hit.

But it gained cult status when a “gorilla” played it in Cadbury’s Dairy Milk’s 2007 ad campaign – boosting sales 10 per cent.
