Trump warns Iran leaders over demos
Donald Trump US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has warned Iran’s hardline religious rulers the “world is watching” after two days of protests against them.
Thousands of Iranians took to the streets in the capital Tehran and other cities to complain about government corruption and a sharp rise in the cost of food. Dozens were arrested.
President Trump tweeted: “Iranian citizens fed up with regime’s corruption & its squandering of the nation’s wealth to fund terrorism abroad. Iranian govt should respect their people’s rights. The world is watching! “
