Rolf makes €1m in jail... and €13 royalties

Shamed Harris SHAMED Rolf Harris pocketed just €13 in royalties in a six-month period while he was behind bars.

But despite being shunned by fans, the 87-year-old former entertaine­r was still able to rake in €1million from investment­s.

The windfall is revealed in the accounts of RHE Investment­s Ltd, a firm he set up in January 2012 – a year before his arrest. Figures

That has always stayed with me.” She went on to become women’s ambassador to the UN. He made millions of euros from his paintings and his TV and music work, but has also been a shrewd investor, setting up a range of firms to handle his fortune.

After his conviction he closed several firms, handing the cash to other directors – all in his family.

Documents filed to dissolve Rolf Harris Enterprise­s Ltd, set up Young Meghan to handle income from his songs, showed it received just €13 in royalties in a six-month period.

Harris’s back catalogue is available on itunes at up to €7 each. One review on the site pleads for them to be removed.

A tell-all memoir about his time behind bars will be blocked in the UK, where he is not allowed to profit from his crimes. But it could be released in his native Australia.
