Wallflower is not coming up roses

I have a rose trained against my wall but it’s struggling. It’s grown from a pot on the patio. Is that a problem? – Jo Dillon, Shrops DAVID: Roses can struggle in containers in the longterm. They can outgrow the pot and not get enough water. If you can, remove a slab from the paving and plant it into the earth where it can spread its roots and access more water.
