KEANE: WE’LL DO LEG WORK TO TEST BLUES’ SQUAD MUSCLES

- BY JOHN FALLON

LEINSTER CONNACHT

CONNACHT coach Kieran Keane said there is no danger of his men getting carried away with their record win over Ulster as they bid for a rare success in Dublin.

Connacht have been victorious on just one of 15 visits to Leinster and Keane knows they will need to produce something special to see off Leo Cullen’s men on New Year’s Day.

“Leinster have a very big, strong squad, great strength in depth. They can rotate their squad a bit,” said Keane.

“We are not getting carried away, if that’s a good thing for us or a bad thing for them.

“We are not thinking about that but still we are looking forward to it. Leinster are a top side and are really in form as we saw with their performance against Munster in Thomond Park.

“We will be focusing on ourselves and our game plan and will try and implement it as best we can.”

The Kiwi has made three changes to the side which scored a 44-16 win over Ulster.

Tom Mccartney takes over from Shane Delahunt at hooker, while James Cannon comes into the second row for Quinn Roux.

In the backline, Cian Kelleher gets the nod ahead of Niyi Adeolokun.
