I wondered if you can advise me. I have four boxes of paper comics in very good condition. Do they have much value? Siobhan Bull, via email Your photos show copies of Roy of The Rovers, Victor and Eagle. Great comics in their own way but yours, from the 1980s, hold really only interest value to a collector. As such, they might fetch 50p a throw - so perhaps best to sell as a job lot. Older comics can fetch a fortune, of course, and it is the first appearance of a popular character which creates most interest. The first Eagle comic, in 1950, featured Dan Dare and can make up to €900 in near mint condition. Boys’ comic
