Your op

-

I had kidney failure and was on dialysis at my parents’ house.

My consultant said my best option was a transplant. I didn’t want a loved one to go through an op but I was getting really sick.

In October 2016, my 64-year-old mum was wheeled down to surgery, where they took one of her kidneys out and transplanted it into me. It has been life changing. I’m planning my wedding, no longer on dialysis and back at work.

Mum has suffered no ill effects and my parents have their lives – and their spare room – back!
