Allegations of sexual scandal in Westminster could hardly be more timely – and this engrossing tale feels completely authentic. Barrister Kate is prosecuting smooth minister James for raping an aide. Meanwhile, his loyal wife Sophie stands by her man. Told from multiple perspectives and switching back to student days at Oxford (where James was a member of a dining club for the privileged) it is utterly convincing.
